The face behind the AgencyMaritza Gutiérrez a Cuban-American that was born in Cuba and arrived the United States as a small child, something all too common amongst the Cubans, due to their country’s political situation.
She excelled through her schooling in South Florida, with the same dynamic disposition that has taken her to the top of the ladder on her chosen career: the advertising and marketing industry. In 1983 she opened Creative Ideas Advertising, Inc. a full service ad agency specializing in advertising & public relations.
Maritza’s extensive experience is in every aspect of the communication field. She creates, produces and directs all forms of advertising campaigns, public relations and promotional strategies. She has mastered the art of management and creativity through a road that she has paved for herself in twenty-six years of practical experience.
Despite her busy schedule, she still gives of her time to a number of South Florida civic organizations. Currently Maritza serves as the Chair of the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority. She is the first woman and the first Hispanic woman to hold this position. She was also appointed by the Governor to serve on the Metropolitan Planning Board of Miami-Dade County, MPO.
Maritza’s achievements include the creation of Maru and Friends®, an ethnic doll line made for young girls and collectors. Plus she is a published author of a children’s book titled, “Forever Friends”.
